Rezumat:  The borderchangesafter Trianon have brought the closure of the Hungarian Universityin Kolozsvár, and as a consequence at the beginning many Hungarian youngpeople studied in Hungary. However, the accreditation of the degrees of thosewho have returned was a very complicated procedure. Thus (partly this iswhy) gradually more and more young people rather chose to study inRomanian. Amongst those who remained in Transylvania on the other hand, there was a general feeling of uncertainty: where and how would they be ableto practice their profession after graduation? The common regulation of theHungarian churches attempted to help this situation by appointing LajosGyörgy as director of studies for Hungarian university and college students ofKolozsvár in autumn, 1928. It was under his direction that the Seminary ofHungarian University Students of Kolozsvár and the Supervisory Committee, overseeing the former’s activities, was established. This Committee proposeda work program in order to complement and deepen vocational training, besides caring for social and educational needs of the students. Particularattention was paid to the preparation and professional education (coveringmaterial not included in the university syllabus) of young teachers at the startof their carrier. Lajos György invited the best lecturers to give a wide varietyof lectures and seminars. During these meetings materials used within theuniversity curriculum was discussed and complemented with particularHungarian references; hence supplementing the students’ lack of knowledgeof national heritage.
